Flight diverted to Boston due to medical emergency
BOSTON (AP) - An American Airlines flight bound for Ireland has been diverted to Boston due to a passenger suffering from a medical condition.
Airline spokeswoman Martha Thomas says Flight 722 was heading to Dublin from Philadelphia Monday night when the incident occurred.
Massachusetts State Police met the plane upon its arrival at Boston's Logan International Airport and removed the passenger. Initial reports indicated the woman was unruly, but it was later determined that she was suffering from a medical condition. The woman was taken to a hospital for evaluation. State police say she will not face any charges.
Thomas says the airline is working to get the passengers to Dublin as quickly as possible.
