Levante and Sporting Gijon draw, stay in relegation zone

MADRID (AP) - Levante and Sporting Gijon played to a 0-0 draw in the Spanish league on Monday, a result that kept both clubs in the relegation zone.

Playing at home, Levante had the game's best chance when Victor Casadesus struck the crossbar with a shot in the 77th minute.

Levante has 25 points from 31 games and remained last in the 20-team standings, while Sporting moved to 18th with 28 points.

Getafe, which lost at Rayo Vallecano on Friday, is 19th - also with 28 points. Granada is just above the drop zone with 29.

There are seven rounds left in the Spanish league. The bottom three teams are relegated.
