Three local churches to host Advent retreat

On Saturday, Dec. 9, the Episcopal churches of St. James, St. Hugh of Lincoln and Church of the Redeemer will co-host an Advent retreat.

The rectors of each church will share a different perspective on "The Wonder of Mary" with small group discussions and personal time for reflection.

It will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 516 Washington St. in West Dundee. Light refreshments will be available.

Everyone from middle school age and up is invited to attend and participate afterwards in the Great Thanksgiving Eucharist service.
