Prescription drug disposal April 16 in Round Lake Park

Round Lake Park police will host a prescription drug take-back event Saturday, April 16, at the Grayslake Fire Protection District station on Peterson Road at the Saddlebrook Farms subdivision entrance. Geared for the Saddlebrook Farms senior community residents, the event will run from 9 a.m. to noon. The prescription drugs will be accepted by the authorities and then properly disposed of. Police Chief George Filenko said unused prescription drugs can be dangerous to children and pets and create theft opportunities.
