ComEd schedules Geneva tree trimming

ComEd has informed Geneva about tree trimming scheduled to take place this summer, primarily near Western Avenue.

During June and July, ComEd crews will be trimming trees in an area bounded by Fargo Boulevard, Western Avenue, Allen Drive and Dunstan Road as well as along Western Avenue south of Cheever Avenue.

While the city owns and operates its own electric utility, ComEd runs power lines through the community to Geneva substations as well as neighboring municipalities.

ComEd will be notifying affected residents about tree trimming taking place in their neighborhood. Maps and more information also can be found on the city's website.
