Illinois Bicentennial presentation in Lake Villa

Ty Rohrer, historian for the Waukegan Historical Society, will present "Exploring Illinois - The 1673 Voyage of Marquette & Joliet" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, during the Lake Villa Historical Society's meeting at 223 Lake Ave., Lake Villa. Marquette and Joliet's four-month voyage on behalf of France took them through Illinois while in search of a great river. This presentation celebrates the Illinois Bicentennial.
