Aurora's New England Congregational Church to celebrate 'Fat Sunday' with worship, chocolate festival

On Feb. 27, New England Congregational Church, 406 W. Galena Blvd. in Aurora, will celebrate "Fat Sunday" with worship and a chocolate festival.

Kimberly Adams, church community life director, said Sunday, Feb. 27, is the last Sunday before Lent.

New England will celebrate with a 10 a.m. worship service followed by an annual chocolate festival. The event in the church narthex will feature free goody bags of assorted individually wrapped chocolates.

The public is invited. Admission and parking are free.

Adams explained, "This is one of a few events that are designed to help provide fun activities for our congregation to enjoy."
