Gurnee walkability committee to meet Tuesday

Gurnee's advisory blue ribbon committee on walkability is set to meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at village hall, 325 N. O'Plaine Road. Part of the evening is expected to be spent on a review of the village's 1994 biking and walkability plan and discuss pedestrian access along East Grand Avenue. The blue ribbon committee members also will examine connections to the Des Plaines River Trail. Making Gurnee easier to get around for walkers and bicyclists is part of the village's strategic plan.
