Associate judge finalists announced

Two finalists have been announced for a Lake County circuit court associate judgeship. The vacancy became available after Christopher R. Stride was elevated to full circuit judge. Lake County Chief Judge Jorge Ortiz has certified Janelle K. Christensen of Lindenhurst and Paul B. Novak of Gurnee. Christensen is a Lake County assistant state's attorney in the civil division, while Novak is a solo practitioner. The full circuit judges will make their selection by casting a secret ballot.
