Naperville man convicted of 14 sex trafficking charges
A Naperville man has been found guilty on 14 counts of sex trafficking.
From 2007 to 2016, Benjamin Biancofiori, 38, used force and threats of force to coerce victims into sex trafficking, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois. He was taken into custody in May 2016.
Biancofiori used multiple online platforms to arrange client meetings with the women. Five of his victims testified in court.
Biancofiori's sentencing hearing is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. May 30. The conviction carries a minimum 15-year sentence and maximum of life in prison.
Two co-defendants, from DuPage County, pleaded guilty to conspiring with Biancofiori to commit sex trafficking. Sentencing hearings for Marcus Willis, 39, of Wheaton and Nathan Perez, 32, of West Chicago have not been set yet.
