Adelaide United moves into 1st place in A-League
WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) - Adelaide moved a point clear into first place in the A-League on Saturday with a 4-0 win over the Wellington Phoenix in the New Zealand capital.
Dylan McGowan scored in the 31st minute and Stefan Mauk 10 minutes later to give United a 2-0 lead at halftime. Bruce Djite and Pablo Sanchez added second-half goals for Adelaide, moving United a point ahead of Western Sydney and Brisbane, which are equal on points in second.
