Grand Avenue to close in Lake Villa

Grand Avenue (Route 132) will be fully closed for a week starting Monday, Sept. 26, at the Canadian National Railroad in Lake Villa to repair the grade crossing. The work is expected to last until Monday, Oct. 3, weather permitting. A posted detour will direct eastbound Grand Avenue traffic south on Cedar Lake Road, east on Monaville Road and north on Milwaukee Avenue (Route 83) back to Grand Avenue. Westbound Grand Avenue traffic will take the reverse route. Delays are expected. Traffic updates will be available at travelmidwest.com.
