Special budget meeting Saturday in Lake Zurich

Lake Zurich village board members have scheduled a special meeting for 9 a.m. Saturday, April 9, to review the next budget that will cover eight months of operations. The village has been working under a fiscal year going from May 1 to April 30. However, because officials intend to shift to a regular calendar year for the budget starting Jan. 1, 2017, they are establishing an eight-month spending plan covering May through December. The meeting will be in a Lake Zurich Police Department meeting room, 200 Mohawk Trail.
