Senator has what it takes
In March 1903, Teddy Roosevelt went on a camping trip to Yosemite with famous pioneering conservationist John Muir. After the trip, TR reputedly said that you never know a person until you have been camping with them.
I guess going to the field with someone in ROTC counts as well. You get to know a person you've pitched a tent next to. I was commissioned with Sen. Tammy Duckworth of Illinois in 1992 and I am sure she can help unseat Donald J. Trump.
As a historian, I believe she is another Illinois dark horse candidate with some mileage, if not as a vice president. Despite her status as a junior senator, she is the person in the party for denouncing Trump, particularly by doing it on the Senate floor during Trump's trial. As a historian, I believe this speech will go down in history as one of the country's great speeches.
Biden may not be able to take advantage of Trump's weaknesses, but Tammy can. I have no doubt that she can make short work of the dirty tricks of Donald Trump and Fox News.
