Today's 'death squads'

The death squads are here. When the Obama administration was proposing the ACA, some conservatives and Republican politicians opposed it on the basis it would result in government death squads who would determine those who would live or die.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, we now have some conservatives and Republican politicians proposing that a segment of the population sacrifice their lives or a percentage of civilian deaths would be acceptable for the sake of the economy. What their calculus ignores is that when this pandemic passes, and it will, the economy and stock market will recover while lives lost are gone forever.
