Police investigating racist graffiti at Elgin school
Elgin police are investigating racist graffiti found on Lowrie Elementary School early Monday morning.
Officers responded about 7:22 a.m. to the school at 264 Oak St. for a report of racially insensitive graffiti, according to a post by the Elgin Police Department.
Preliminary investigation shows the graffiti was done between 10 a.m. Sunday and Monday morning when it was found. The graffiti has already been removed by the district.
