Police: Boy, 15, shot and killed in Chicago Heights
CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. (AP) - Authorities say a 15-year-old boy has been shot and killed in south suburban Chicago Heights.
Chicago Heights police and the Cook County medical examiner's office say officers were responding to a call of a person down behind an abandoned house at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday when they found Timothy Boyd unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds.
Authorities say emergency crews weren't able to revive Boyd and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports (http://bit.ly/1XhSRKx ) that Boyd lived near the location where he was shot in Chicago Heights.
An investigation is ongoing.
