2 dead, 1 hurt in shooting at Ohio assisted living facility
CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio (AP) - Police in Ohio say a shooting at an assisted living facility has left two women dead and one man wounded.
The shooting occurred Thursday morning in Chagrin Falls, an upscale community 20 miles from Cleveland. Police say none of the people shot were residents of the facility.
The mayor told media outlets that the shooter was one of the three people shot.
The shooting happened at Hamlet Hills Village, described online as a retirement village with independent living apartments, an assisted living facility and a nursing home.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the county medical examiner's office and local law enforcement are helping with the investigation.
