Missing Des Plaines girl returns home

A 16-year-old Des Plaines area girl who had been missing for more than a week returned to her home late Tuesday, according to Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart's office.

Dart had asked for the public's help finding Guadalupe Sanchez Nov. 2, a day after she was last seen at her home in an unincorporated part of suburban Cook County near Des Plaines

Authorities said a news release that Sanchez returned home safely Tuesday on her own. No other details were given.
