Girl Scouts visit Elgin City Hall

Members of Girl Scout Troop 754 based in Elgin recited the Pledge of Allegiance at the Elgin City Council meeting Wednesday night.

Miana Gonzalez, Chloe Rivera, Noreen McGough, and Shannon Keenan, all Junior Girl Scouts, are working on earning "inside government" badges. Daisy Girl Scouts Brielle Boehm, Audrey Ross and Savannah Lynch earned Pledge of Allegiance badges.

Miana is a Junior Girl Scout from Troop 1251 in Algonquin. The other girls are from Troop 754 out of St. John's Lutheran School.

The girls will get a tour of city hall next week.
