Pritzker should look at his own actions

Gov. J.B. Pritzker calls Donald Trump's actions inadequate in the battle against the COVID-19 crisis, saying the president doesn't understand the meaning of the word "federal" or the role he is supposed to fulfill; but Article IV, Section. 4 of the U.S. Constitution reads:

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the legislature, or of the Executive (when the legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence."

Our founder's intent is what rights not written in the U.S. Constitution are given to the states. This COVID-19 pandemic is a "war for our health" and the Trump administration is ready and willing to support the states. The president has no jurisdiction on how Illinois reacts in a crisis situation. Our elected state representatives are responsible for initiating protocols to protect Illinois citizens and are responsible for acting on the same information the president receives.

Pritzker is a multimillionaire with more than a million dollars of his own money to push his "Fair Tax" propaganda to change the state constitution by passing the graduated income tax in Illinois and take his own money to raise the salaries of his staff above the state salary structure; but none of his money for the health of the state's citizens in the battle against COVID-19, a pandemic never seen to date.

Our media reports that the governors of the two most "blue" states, California and New York, are working fine with the president and often giving him credit for support. Pritzker should stop blaming the wrong people for his incompetent leadership.
