Fire damages Naperville home
Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a home Sunday in Naperville.
Firefighters were called to the house on the 700 block of Wehrli Drive at 6:54 p.m. by a resident alerted to the fire by a smoke detector, authorities said.
Firefighters on the scene reported smoke and fire in an upstairs bedroom and bathroom. The fire was quickly contained to the area and extinguished, authorities said.
No injuries were reported, but the residence was deemed uninhabitable.
The Naperville Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Naperville Emergency Management Agency, the Naperville Electric Department, Nicor Gas, and fire departments from Plainfield, Warrenville, Wheaton and Downers Grove.
