Batavia to light up 'Peace On Earth' letters on bridge

Batavia's "Peace On Earth" letters have been upgraded and will light up at night.

There will be a ribbon-cutting at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Peace Bridge, and Santa Claus will turn on the lights afterward at the "Celebration of Lights" Christmas tree-lighting at 5:30 and 7 p.m.

The bridge is south of the Schielke Government Center, 100 N. Island Ave.
