Arsenal midfielder Xhaka wins Swiss player of the year award

BERN, Switzerland (AP) - Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has been named Switzerland's player of the year for last season.
The Swiss soccer federation announced the results of a public vote at an awards ceremony on Monday.
Xhaka has helped Switzerland to the top of its World Cup qualifying group with six straight wins and won the FA Cup with Arsenal.
