Arlington Heights to collect trees, lights after the holidays
Arlington Heights will be collecting unwanted or broken holiday lights for recycling through Feb. 25.
Lights can be dropped off any time in the bin at the Public Works Department, 222 N. Ridge Ave., or from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Health Department in village hall, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road.
Holiday trees will be collected on residents' regular trash collection days from Jan. 3-14. Landscape waste stickers are not necessary for trees, but they should be free of plastic bags and decorations.
Garlands and wreaths also will be disposed of as refuse, and no sticker is required.
