Democrat no more
Mom always voted Democrat. She believed that it was the "party of the people." But, sadly, those days are gone. Democrats are no longer protecting the interests of the people. We have seen historic corruption here in Illinois. And sadly, so many Democratic-run cities have been allowed to deteriorate and become overrun with crime.
During May, we saw Chicago and many other cities, swarming with rioters, looters and organized arsonists. The Chicago mayor told the police to "stand down." Many Democrats have repeatedly implied that police, the National Guard and our federal government should not be trusted - as if they are the enemy.
Radical groups have even been allowed to take over portions of cities and to drive police out. It's the residents of those cities who are endangered by these policies. Their safety and businesses are ignored by Democrat leaders. I believe we are in grave danger as a nation. I cannot believe what the Democrats now promote. We must assure a balanced government as it was intended. I urge you to vote Republican in November. I support Jim Oberweis and the other conservative Republican candidates currently on the ballot.
