Naperville hosting final meeting to discuss 248th Avenue improvements

Naperville officials are hosting a final public information meeting next week to discuss future improvements to 248th Avenue.

The meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, in Meeting Room A/B of the 95th Street Library, 3015 Cedar Glad Road. City staff and project consultants will present a preferred alternative to the project, which was developed using community feedback from the previous two meetings.

The city aims to improve a portion of 248th Avenue between 95th and 103rd streets. Construction is tentatively slated to begin in 2024 and will take about a year to complete. While the goal is to improve the driving experience, the project also is designed to create better experiences for bikers and pedestrians.

A project timeline will be presented at the meeting and questions will be answered by staff. Those unable to attend can request project materials from Ray Fano at fanor@naperville.il.us. News and updates on the project can be found at naperville.il.us/248th-avenue.
