1 dead, 2 critically injured in Indianapolis shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indianapolis police are investigating after a shooting left one person dead and two critically injured.

Police said in a statement that officers were dispatched around 10:30 Wednesday night to reports of a shooting and found three people inside a vehicle suffering apparent gunshot wounds.

One male was pronounced dead at the scene. A male and a female were taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Detectives canvassed the area and conducted interviews. The statement says detectives don't believe the shooting was random.

An investigation is ongoing.
