Declaration of disaster in Lake Barrington
Lake Barrington Village President Kevin Richardson has signed a declaration of disaster in an effort to protect the well-being and health of village residents. Officials said the declaration will also allow Lake Barrington to access state and federal funding and resources needed to combat the spread of COVID-19. The declaration prohibits indoor and outdoor gatherings of 10 or more people when one or more is in a high-risk category for COVID-19, officials said. Lake Barrington village hall will be closed to the public until at least March 31.
