Rosemont buys building near Barry Street rec center
Rosemont is buying a one-story light industrial building across the street from the Barry Street Recreational Center and athletic turf field.
The village will pay $350,000 for the building at 7111-7115 Barry St., though how it will be used hasn't yet been determined, said Mayor Brad Stephens.
Industrial Modern Pattern & Mold, the prototyping shop that is selling the building, plans to relocate to a smaller space. The business will pay the village $25,000 in rent until the shop eventually vacates, Stephens said.
One side of the building was used in 2014 - with the owner's permission - for a portion of a mural of Mexican history designed by local students.
