Naperville adding traffic signal at Webster, Aurora

Naperville has approved a $347,429 contract with Thorne Electric of Carol Stream to install a new traffic signal at Aurora Avenue and Webster Street.

The signal will serve patrons of a new hotel, banquet center, restaurants and shops under construction at the Water Street District as well as city employees and visitors to the Naper Settlement.

The signal costs about $10,000 more than the engineer's estimate, but half of the cost will be paid by Water Street developer Marquette Companies. The development is expected to be complete by late this fall.
