Work at Route 176 and Route 60/83 underway

Mundelein officials remind motorists that a $4 million road work project on Route 176 at Route 60/83 is underway. Traffic signal work continues and storm sewer installation began this week. Shoulder closures are expected. Project highlights include: Addition of left-turn lanes in both directions on Route 176 at Route 60/83; a continuous right-turn lane along Route 60/83 from Route 176 to Route 83; travel lane alignment improvements; drainage enhancements; new traffic signals; new asphalt pavement surface and markings; an additional lane southbound on Route 60 from the village limit to Schank Road; and, minor pavement widening on Route 176 from Del Webb Boulevard to Schank Road.
