Washington Street closure in Grayslake
Washington Street at a railroad crossing west of Lake Street in Grayslake will temporarily close starting Friday, June 17. Officials from the Lake County Division of Transportation said work will be done to raise the railroad tracks at the grade crossing and rebuild the temporary grade crossing and roadway approaches. The closure is part of the Washington Street underpass construction project. The closure of the crossing will begin at 9 p.m. Friday, June 17. Washington Street will reopen to traffic at 5 a.m. Monday, June 20.
