Track repairs prompt Mount Prospect Road closure

The railroad crossing at Mount Prospect Road between Northwest Highway and Prospect Avenue in Des Plaines will be closed from 8 a.m. Monday, June 20, to 5 p.m. Friday, July 1, for track repairs, city officials said.

A complete closure of Mount Prospect Road will be required for the duration of the repairs by Union Pacific Railroad. Traffic will be detoured via Elmhurst Road, Golf Road and Northwest Highway.
