AOIIs About to Donate Funds from Auction/Luncheon March 13

The Chicago Northwest Suburban Alumnae Chapter of AOII will donate funds to worthy causes later this Spring. Their annual Auction/Luncheon in South Barrington was again successful this year. Many guests commented on the food, which included cupcakes with deep red roses on them to celebrate the chapter's 60th anniversary.

It's also fun each year to bid and to laugh along with the crowd.

You might wonder where the proceeds go. Chapter President Pat Juza of Arlington Heights said, "What we make goes to support Arthritis Research & Education as well as Camp Jam in Lake Geneva, a four-night experience for boys and girls, aged 8-17, living with juvenile arthritis and other rheumatic conditions." Juza went on to say "the camp provides activities that take into account the camper's strengths and not the limitations of the camper's disease".

Alpha Omicron Pi also donates money to Feed My Starving Children, the Alternating Hemiplegia Foundation and the Palatine Township Apple Tree Campaign.
