Vernon Hills scored 5 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to come from behind for an 8-5 win over Antioch in North Suburban Prairie baseball action Tuesday.
Joe Rangel, Drew Winegardner and Kyle Hull each had 2 hits for the Cougars.
Winning pitcher Bard Larsen had 6 strikeouts over three innings.
For Antioch, Marc Huston led the way with a double.
Lake Zurich 3, Deerfield 1: Starting pitcher Shane Nolan and reliever Matt Svanson pitched a combined 1-hitter while fanning 11 Deerfield batters.
The Bears had only 3 hits, two of which were triples by Tyler Snep and Ben Cornelius.
Grayslake North 10, Huntley 9: Grayslake North and Huntley combined to score 9 runs in the seventh inning but Grayslake North was able to hang on for the win.
Bobby Krebs led Grayslake North with 3 hits and 2 RBI.
Jake Damore, Vince Gawerecki and Jon Cesario each added 2 hits apiece for the Knights.
Winning pitcher Hunter Ambre closed the game.
