Aurora police seek armed robbery suspect
Aurora police are seeking a masked man they say entered a cellphone store armed and made off with cash and stolen merchandise.
The armed robbery happened at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday on the 800 block of North Lake Street, according to a news release posted to the Aurora Police Department's Facebook page.
The suspect was described as a black male 6 feet 1 inch to 6 feet 3 inches tall, wearing a mask and dressed in black.
The man entered the store armed with a weapon and ordered customers to get on the floor, according to the news release. He fled from the store, although it is unclear what direction he was headed or if he ran to to a vehicle, authorities said.
The thief made off with an unknown amount of cash, and no one was injured.
Aurora Police Department spokesman Dan Ferrelli declined to comment on what type of weapon the robber had, and he did not provide further details.
