Inspire Through Flowers donates 88 ‘Bouquets of Gratitude’ to Frost staff

The entryway of Frost Elementary School was a little more floral during the early afternoon of Thursday, Dec. 7, as 88 “Bouquets of Gratitude” were wheeled in to distribute to all staff members to thank them for their hard work and dedication.

The bouquets were donated by Inspire Through Flowers, an all-volunteer service organization that has honored staff in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, police and fire departments, veterans groups, and women’s groups over the past three years.

“We love teachers, and they are the front line for our future leaders,” said Ellen Mink, co-founder and board member/director of the Wheeling facility for Inspire Through Flowers.

The organization’s visit to Aspen Drive was organized by first grade teacher Cali Parisi, who joined Inspire Through Flowers alongside her family over the summer for a day of service.

With help from Parisi’s students, Principal Catherine Joy and several volunteers from the organization, the bouquets were then distributed to staff members throughout the school.

“It meant so much seeing everyone’s faces light up,” added Parisi. “It was an inspiring moment to continue putting others before myself and to do something that positively impacts the world every day. My students were able to help me and I’m so glad they were able to experience the same feeling of making others smile. I know it is a moment we will never forget.”
