Impeachment drive fueled by politics
So the extreme MAGA Republicans are seeking to impeach the most productive legislative President since LBJ. Is it because the markets are booming with the Dow at record levels, over 37,000?
Is it because of the successful infrastructure bill that is putting $1.2 trillion into repairing existing and building new transportation, structural and electronic systems in all 50 states? Or maybe it’s because the Biden Administration has lowered the national deficit by $350 billion in the first two years of his first term?
I’ll bet it’s because he’s fought to lower the cost of prescription drugs, including lowering insulin from $300-plus to just $35 per dose.
No, President Biden’s great accomplishments are overshadowed by Donald Trump’s thirst for revenge because Trump was impeached.
He was impeached for withholding arms from Ukraine in exchange for dirt on Biden in a recorded phone call in 2020 and for trying to overthrow the government of the United States in 2021 for which there was abundant evidence, including a nationally televised attack on the nation’s Capitol.
Whereas, there is absolutely no evidence to support the Republicans’ current, dangerous effort to impeach Biden. Meanwhile, two very close allies, fighting wars for us in Europe and the Middle East, are waiting on Congress to act to supply much-needed armaments.
On top of that dire prospect, the government may be shut down by those same small-minded Republican House members in early 2024 because of budget legislation inaction. We must vote for American strength, unity and competence in 2024.
If we have to live with politics, then let’s bring sanity back to Washington, D.C. Vote Biden. Vote Blue.
