Washington Street project

Activity will return to the central portion of the Washington Street Thoroughfare project in Grayslake on Monday, March 27, when the contractor is scheduled to prepare the site for concrete work. Starting in April, concrete paving will begin, as well as work at the intersections with the northern side streets, followed by curb work along the north edge of the roadway. Also, the south abutment and retaining wall of the underpass are complete and the next major milestone will be excavation for the new roadway under the railroad bridge.
