Arlington Heights Senior Center roof to be replaced

The roof at the Arlington Heights Senior Center will be replaced soon as part of a multiyear repair/replacement program for municipal buildings.

The existing built-up tar pitched construction roof is showing signs of age and deterioration, village officials said.

Village trustees this week approved a $252,200 bid for replacement of the 41,400-square-foot roof by Arlington Heights-based Riddiford Roofing. The center at 1801 W. Central Road is owned and operated by the village.
