Missing Belividere-area man found safe in Libertyville

An 89-year-old Belvidere-area man who went missing after leaving home Saturday afternoon was located safe later that night by police in Libertyville.

A Libertyville officer pulled over Clair Spohn for speeding along Milwaukee Avenue at about 10 p.m. Saturday and quickly determined he was confused and unsure of his location or his hometown, police said.

The officer was able to get Spohn's name and track down his daughter, who came to Libertyville and took him home, police said.
