The words we need
I am a practicing Roman Catholic male. I am also a Eucharistic minister taking the host to hospitals and nursing homes. I am writing this letter after seeing a ray of hope for the future of my church.
While attending a funeral of a close friend, I heard wonderful words from the priest. He invited all those present, Catholic or not, to accept communion. He even included those who have been away from the church. His words reflected the true meaning of Christianity. This gift from God is the beginning of hope for my church's future. We need more families and those who have turned away from the church, and all Christians to be welcomed in the name of Christ, our Father.
