Board does not listen

My husband and I have lived in Glen Ellyn for seven years and have four children in District 41 in sixth, fourth, second and kindergarten grades. It is absolutely heartbreaking what our children are going through. Educational loss aside, the lack of in person school is taking an enormous toll on the mental health of our children. In my opinion, our current school board is failing our children.

I urge anyone voting in this election to watch all the interviews that have been done, and to watch the school board meeting from Monday, March 8. It's eye opening and quite honestly shocking the way that the current board functions. Please take the time to listen to the parent comments and the discussion that takes place by the board after those parent comments.

The current board does not listen to the community and only cares to perpetuate the feeling of helplessness that they have created by waiting so long to do anything of any consequence.

Our children - and our community - deserve so much more than what we are getting. I am voting for the Middle 4 for the Glen Ellyn D41 school board and I hope people consider doing the same so that we can move forward and see accountability and transparency in our elected officials.
