Contestants sought for Mundelein Pageants

The Mundelein Community Days Commission has announced that the 2018 Miss, Junior Miss, and Little Miss Mundelein Pageant will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, at the Mundelein High School auditorium.

The categories and age requirements for interested contestants are as follows:

• Miss Mundelein: ages 16-21 on date of pageant.

• Junior Miss Mundelein: ages 11-13 on date of pageant

• Little Miss Mundelein: ages 6-8 on date of pageant

The Miss Mundelein Pageants is one of the many activities of Mundelein Community Days and is open to all young ladies who reside in Mundelein or in unincorporated Fremont Township. ZIP code 60060.

Applications are due June 5, and are available at the village hall or can be downloaded at mundelein.org/mcd.

Prizes will be awarded, of $500 cash or a $1,000 college scholarship for Miss Mundelein, $350 for Junior Miss Mundelein, and $250 for Little Miss Mundelein. First and second runners-up will be selected in each pageant and will also receive cash prizes. All three queens will receive a crown, banners, trophies and other gifts as well.
