DVC dandy

Naperville Central can wrap up the outright DuPage Valley Conference championship with a Week 9 win over Lake Park, but the Lancers can claim a share of the crown by beating the Redhawks.

Staying alive

It took a thriller, but Waubonsie Valley kept its playoff hopes alive with a 42-35 DVC victory over Naperville North. The Warriors become playoff eligible if they beat Wheaton North next week.

Staying alive 2

Glenbard North also maintained its playoff dreams by beating Metea Valley 42-0. The Panthers can make themselves playoff eligible with a Week 9 win over Neuqua Valley.

Staying alive 3 to 5

While Downers North and Wheaton Academy each won to stay alive for the playoffs at 4-4, Downers South lost to fall to 4-4. All three have a chance to become playoff eligible with a win next week.
