Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with Celtic music March 17
On Sunday, March 17, the Elgin Episcopal Celtic Band will be guest musicians during the 10:30 a.m. service at St. Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal Church, 36W957 Highland Ave. in Elgin.
At noon, the band, whose members are from St. Hugh and the Church of the Redeemer, will perform a free 30-minute "Coffee Concert" in the church fellowship hall.
It will feature instrumental music from Ireland, Scotland and Wales. All are welcome to come and listen to the beautiful Celtic tunes produced on instruments including the penny whistle, recorder, flute, hammered dulcimer, guitar and string bass.
