No injuries in vacant Des Plaines house fire
Des Plaines firefighters were able to extinguish a vacant home fire Sunday morning after two hydrant failures, according to Des Plaines fire officials.
Firefighters responded to a 9 a.m. call of a fire on the 2100 block of Halsey Drive Sunday morning. Despite two failed fire hydrants, first responders were able to extinguish the fire with the water from two engines' tanks.
There were no injuries, and an investigation into the fire is ongoing.
