PM&L players, Antioch students team up for improv
Come to a Mother Road Productions and PM&L Improv Comedy Night at PM&L Theatre's Tribute Hall in Antioch.
Antioch High School students will face off with adult improvisational players in a two-for-one improv comedy show at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19. PM&L Theatre's Tribute Hall is at 881 Main St., Antioch.
Improv Comedy Night is produced by John Haderlein of Mother Road Productions, NFP and PM&L Theatre.
Directed by Ralph Churchill, who has acted in and directed countless shows at Round Lake Park District and PM&L Theatre, and Wanda Teddy of the theater department at Antioch High School, this evening promises fast-paced and smart improvisational comedy along the lines of Second City and "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"
There will be a high school show featuring eight Antioch High School students, rated "PG," followed by an adult show, rated "PG-13." The adult players include Laura Jansen, Linda Willding, Jim Stahl, Denise Marie Maifield, Ryan McNeil, Ralph Churchill, Wanda Teddy and John Haderlein.
PM&L Theatre was co-founded in 1960 by the late Ken Smouse, a former Antioch High School drama teacher. An event honoring him, directed by Wanda Teddy, was held at the high school in October.
