Check out exhibit 'Testing Our Strength: From the Great Chicago Fire to 9/11'

Check out the new display "Testing Our Strength: From the Great Chicago Fire to 9/11", about five major fire-fighting events that have impacted Aurora, the region, and the nation during the First Friday event at 6 p.m. Sept. 2 at the Aurora Regional Fire Museum, 53 N. Broadway in Aurora. Among those events discussed will be the Great Chicago Fire and Sept. 11. Stop by to see some of the museum's newest acquisitions into its collection. The Aurora Regional Fire Museum is open for walk-in visitors from noon to 4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. The museum is open 6 to 8 p.m. on First Friday nights. Admission is $5 or $3 for children. Purchase your raffle ticket for a chance to win a pizza party for six with Chief Gary Krienitz of the Aurora Fire Department or Chief Kristen Ziman of the Aurora Police Department.
